Les Cleeve Global Enduro charity bike ride.

Les’s going to be riding a Honda CTX 200 motorcycle across some of the toughest off road country in South Africa. Les has been riding motorcycles since he was seven and thinks he has owned over 100 bikes. His experience in traffic police work makes him very suitable for this task as it will need all sorts of skills in negotiating the terrain.

The journey will cover 3200Km in only 8 days: 400 km a day under the African sun over mountainous dirt tracks. He has to raise £5000 to take part in the event. After the trip the bikes will be used by Riders for Health a charity that sends medics into remote areas to support the health needs of local people. The bikes will bring medical aid to desperate people who otherwise would have no access to modern medicines. The charity has the support of Unicef, the Prince’s Trust, and the Nelson Mandela Fund for children. The 200cc road legal/cross country motorcycles will be tested as hard as the volunteers riding them. Les and his cause needs all the support he can get.
